Join us this holiday season as a volunteer with our Refugee Department! W e’ll be providing gifts to our clients to spread holiday cheer and support.

Volunteers will play a key role in helping the event run smoothly by:

Assisting with gift distribution

Serving food

Setting up and organizing the event space

Supporting clients and families throughout the celebration

This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community, engage with families from diverse backgrounds, and make a positive impact during the holiday season.

Join us in spreading gratitude and joy this Christmas at City Walk, an apartment community located in downtown Dallas, providing affordable living with case management on site.

Volunteers will help serve a warm holiday meal to residents, assist with setting up and cleaning tables, and ensure that everyone has a welcoming and festive experience. Be part of making the day special for families and individuals in need.

Duties:

Serve meals to residents

Assist with table setup and cleanup

Help create a welcoming and festive environment

Qualities Needed:

Willingness to listen, show patience, and demonstrate kindness

Ability to take direction well and work independently or in pairs

Please note that the location has limited parking. Carpooling is highly encouraged.

Join us in spreading holiday cheer at the Brady Senior Center! As a Christmas Elf volunteer, you’ll help hand out gifts to our senior residents, share warm smiles, and make the season a little brighter for everyone.

Job Duties:

Distribute holiday gifts to senior residents with warmth and kindness

Help organize and set up the gift distribution area

Keep track of which gifts have been handed out

Provide light help to seniors (carrying items, guiding them to stations)

Maintain a friendly, festive, and respectful atmosphere

Volunteers will assist Catholic Charities staff with:

Coat check

Helping guests take items to checkout or valet

Picking up and disposing of trash

Cleaning the Volunteer Ballroom

Each group will have a captain who will provide direction and on-site training. Volunteers are expected to serve for the full duration of the shift, with opportunities to rotate for breaks and enjoy the evening’s entertainment — Kool & the Gang!

Commitment
Your shift commitment ensures we can serve effectively. If you become unable to attend, please cancel your registration as soon as possible so another volunteer can take your place. We deeply appreciate volunteers who honor their commitments — your reliability strengthens our mission.

Help make the evening memorable for our generous donors by serving as the main point of contact for your assigned table. You’ll ensure guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and well-supported throughout the night.

Table Hosts will:

Attend primarily to their assigned tables

Provide event information and assist with guest needs

Remain attentive during the live auction to help spot bidders and alert staff as needed

If you enjoy hospitality, engaging with people, and bringing energy to a special event, this role is a great way to contribute to an unforgettable evening!

Attire: Evening attire is semi formal (black tie optional).

Commitment: We remind you that because you have committed to this volunteer time slot, this slot is not available for someone else to use. If you find yourself unable to assist us during the time you have selected, we ask that you cancel your registration in a timely manner, so we have adequate time to find a replacement. Volunteer commitment is an integral part of our ability to serve, and we appreciate volunteers who uphold the standards of commitment we hold ourselves to as an agency.

Food: Dinner will be provided in a Volunteer ballroom. Please notify us if you have life-threatening food allergies.

Volunteers will help by:

- Setting up Auction Items

-Placing programming materials on chairs and tables

-Set up the Volunteer Ballroom for the evening

-Additional tasks/roles assigned by the CCD Marketing and Development team

 Minors will need to be accompanied with chaperone.

If you would like to volunteer through the Bishops Gala evening event, you will need to sign up for that slot as well. 

Required Training: Training and assigned tasks will be provided on-site by your shift captain. 

Attire: Comfortable wear such as Jeans, t-shirts, and closed-toe shoes are appropriate.

Commitment: If you find yourself unable to assist us during the time you have selected, we ask that you cancel your registration in a timely manner, so we have adequate time to find a replacement.

Proof of Service: Any volunteer (youth or adult) needing to track volunteer hours for work, school, scholarships, etc., can do so through Galaxy Digital. You can also contact volunteer@ccdallas.org if you need a specific letter signed.

Parking: Park in the hotel parking lot on a high floor to leave spaces for the gala guests arriving after you, and we will have it validated.
