Volunteer: Joe's Pantry

Located near 635 and LBJ, this site is unique in that it’s connected to St. Jude Park Central, which provides permanent housing for individuals who were formerly unhoused. This pantry is more than just a place to get groceries, it’s part of a broader effort to promote stability, dignity, and community connection in North Dallas.

Come join us as we help serve the community!


Duties/Responsibilities:   

Restocking food items on shelvesBagging produce and other food items

What makes a successful volunteer:   

Able to adhere to safety regulations set in place by the agency   Able to use hands to handle food items and lift medium-sized boxes (between 16 – 20 pounds) 
Ability to stand for hours at a time   Helpful & courteous   Dependable & reliable 

Dress code: Closed-toe shoes are required (no sandals or flip flops). We recommend dressing in comfortable and casual clothes suitable for the season.

Age Requirements: 14 is the minimum age. Volunteers 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times & must submit their Minor Volunteer Waiver before the shift. 

Commitment: Our hungry neighbors are counting on you to arrive on time and to stay for the entire shift.  If you are unable to complete the full shift, then please log into your account and cancel your registration. We hope you can join us another time. 

 

Entrance: Enter thru the side of the building, you will see an arrow announcing the pantry.
