Volunteer: World Refugee Day Volunteers - Mobile Pantry

Annual Dallas World Refugee Day celebrates and represent the resilience and strength of refugees in our Dallas Community, 

Volunteers needed to help distribute food from the mobile food pantry and distribute DFW Refugee Outreach food at the Dallas World Refugee Day.

Minimum Age: 14 and up- parent/guardian must be with minor volunteering. For minors and their parent/guardians, please create a team to respond to indicate you are volunteering together. 

Duties/Responsibilities:  

Bagging or boxing food 

Handing out food to 

Replenishing the stock of food items 

Assisting with directing traffic

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support the 5th Annual Archangels Cup at The Golf Club of Dallas! All proceeds from this donation-based event directly support the Catholic Charities Dallas Hunger Program. Your time and effort will help make the event a success and positively impact those in need. 

As a Hole-in-One Monitor, you’ll play a crucial role in the excitement of the tournament! Your main responsibility is to monitor a designated hole and verify any hole-in-one shots. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the tournament atmosphere while ensuring fair play.

Location: The Golf Club of Dallas

Shift Options:

7:30 AM – 10:30 AM

10:15 AM – 12:30 PM

Responsibilities:

Watch and verify any hole-in-one attempts.

Ensure players follow proper rules for eligibility.

Communicate with event staff if a hole-in-one occurs.

No golf experience is required—just a keen eye and enthusiasm!

Please note, this role will be outdoors, and you may be standing for an extended period. You may want to bring a chair for comfort.

Volunteer: Hands That Help: Food Box Assembly for Residents

When we come together, we make access possible. We’re seeking 15 volunteers to join us at Joe’s Pantry on Monday, April 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., to help assemble food boxes for residents living at City Walk and the Cottages. These are two of our housing sites that provide subsidized housing and permanent supportive housing for individuals who were formerly unhoused. Many residents face transportation barriers, and your time and care help ensure they can access nutritious food with dignity and ease.

Volunteers will work as a team to:

Shop the pantry” by selecting food items for residents who have signed up ahead of time Assemble individual food orders Pack items into milk crates Label each crate with the resident’s name and apartment number Place completed crates onto pallets for delivery

We anticipate assembling 80–100 food boxes, depending on sign‑ups. Every crate packed represents nourishment, stability, and compassion.

If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back and make a real impact in just a few hours, this is it.

Dress code: Closed-toe shoes are required (no sandals or flip flops). We recommend dressing in comfortable and casual clothes suitable for the season.
