Located near 635 and LBJ, this site is unique in that it’s connected to St. Jude Park Central, which provides permanent housing for individuals who were formerly unhoused. Joe's Pantry is a client choice pantry where individuals are able to shop for food that they need. This pantry is more than just a place to get groceries, it’s part of a broader effort to promote stability, dignity, and community connection in North Dallas.

Volunteers assist by stocking and organizing shelves during service hours. Come join us as we help serve the community!

The Volunteer Victim Advocate supports individuals who have experienced crime by providing compassionate, trauma-informed assistance and helping them understand what to expect in the justice process. The Community Health Clinic (CHC) provides non-urgent, quality healthcare for low-income, uninsured families living in Collin County. Our exceptional volunteer healthcare providers and community volunteers work together alongside clinical staff to serve the uninsured who need a health home the most. The position will possess a strong foundation in primary care. They will be responsible for managing chronic diseases, for example diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and asthma. The provider will work closely with patients from diverse backgrounds and collaborate with the clinic team. The physician is able to volunteer accordingly to their preferred schedule.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Independently assess and document clinical problems in your area of expertise. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, in accordance with HIPPA regulations and best practice. Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies. Order appropriate medication and treatments and complete refill requests. Educate patients and their families about health issues, preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices. Program: Community Health Clinic

The Community Health Clinic (CHC) provides non-urgent, quality healthcare for low-income, uninsured families living in Collin County. Our exceptional volunteer healthcare providers and community volunteers work together alongside clinical staff to serve the uninsured who need a health home the most. The position will possess a strong foundation in primary care. They will be responsible for managing chronic diseases, for example diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and asthma. The provider will work closely with patients from diverse backgrounds and collaborate with the clinic team. The physician is able to volunteer accordingly to their preferred schedule.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Independently assess and document clinical problems in your area of expertise. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, in accordance with HIPPA regulations and best practice. Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies. Order appropriate medication and treatments and complete refill requests. Educate patients and their families about health issues, preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices. Requirements: Must be currently licensed for the practice of medicine in the State of Texas. Ability to work with diverse populations and age groups. Volunteer: Mobile Food Pantry- Our Lady of Perpetual Help

At our OLPH site, neighbors can walk up, connect with each other, and pick up fresh groceries in a welcoming, open-air setting. This site creates space for conversation, connection, and community care, while making sure everyone leaves with the food they need.

Provide courteous and excellent service to CCD clients while assisting the OLPH pantry.  Note that this is an outdoor opportunity. 

Duties/Responsibilities:  

Bagging or boxing food 

Placing food in client vehicle trunks 

Replenishing the stock of food items 

Assisting with directing traffic 

What makes a successful volunteer:  

Able to adhere to safety regulations set in place by the agency 

Able to use hands to handle food items and lift medium-sized boxes (between 16 – 20 pounds) 

Ability to stand for hours at a time 

Helpful & courteous 

Dependable & reliable

Dress code: Closed-toe shoes are required (no sandals or flip flops). We recommend dressing in comfortable and casual clothes suitable for the season. We recommend sunscreen, sunglasses, work gloves, and hats in the summer months.

Age Requirements: 14 is the minimum age. Volunteers 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times & must submit their Minor Volunteer Waiver before the shift.

Commitment: Our hungry neighbors are counting on you to arrive on time and to stay for the entire shift.  If you are unable to complete the full shift, then please log into your account and cancel your registration. We hope you can join us another time.

Parking: The best parking location is street parking on Cortland Avenue and Volunteers can walk toward the Mobile Food Truck in the parking lot. If the Mobile food truck is not there, then volunteers can walk toward the gym of OLPH.

What You'll Do Provide academic support in English, reading, and writing. Encourage language development through engaging conversations and activities. Create a supportive learning environment tailored to the student’s needs. Offer mentorship and guidance to build confidence and independence. Collaborate with foster parents and IFC program staff to ensure student progress. Track student achievements and submit monthly progress reports.
