The position will possess a strong foundation in primary care. They will be responsible for managing chronic diseases, for example diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and asthma. The provider will work closely with patients from diverse backgrounds and collaborate with the clinic team. The physician is able to volunteer accordingly to their preferred schedule. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Independently assess and document clinical problems in your area of expertise. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, in accordance with HIPPA regulations and best practice. Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies. Order appropriate medication and treatments and complete refill requests. Educate patients and their families about health issues, preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices. Requirements: Must be currently licensed for the practice of medicine in the State of Texas. Ability to work with diverse populations and age groups.
