Volunteer: Mobile Food Pantry- Our Lady of San Juan de los Lagos-Santa Teresita

Our West Dallas mobile site brings fresh groceries straight to the community in a fast and contact-free way. Families simply drive up and receive food without leaving their vehicles, making it easy, safe, and efficient. Every time we’re open, we’re able to serve up to 100 families right here in the heart of West Dallas.

By volunteering, you'll help provide essential services and bring hope to families relying on our support.

Duties/Responsibilities:  

Checking in clients using iPads 

Bagging or boxing food 

Placing food in client vehicle trunks 

Replenishing the stock of food items 

Assist with traffic direction

What makes a successful volunteer:  

Able to adhere to safety regulations

Able to use hands to handle food items and lift medium-sized boxes (between 16 – 20 pounds) 

Stand for long periods

Courteous, helpful and dependable


Dress code: Closed-toe shoes are required (no sandals or flip flops). We recommend dressing in comfortable and casual clothes suitable for the season. We recommend sunscreen, sunglasses, work gloves, and hats.

Age Requirements: 14 is the minimum age. Volunteers 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times & must submit their Minor Volunteer Waiver before the shift.

Commitment: Our hungry neighbors are counting on you to arrive on time and to stay for the entire shift.  If you are unable to complete the full shift, then please log into your account and cancel your registration. We hope you can join us another time.
