Volunteer: Ennis Container Pantry Distribution VolunteerIn Ennis, our pantry operates out of a converted shipping container, but don’t let the size fool you! This client choice pantry gives families the opportunity to walk inside and select the groceries that fit their needs and preferences, just like at a traditional store. Help us reduce hunger in Ennis and the surrounding area by volunteering at our client choice container pantry. The Ennis Container Pantry is located in the parking lot across from St John Nepomucene Catholic Church.Duties/Responsibilities: Greet Clients with and positive attitude Assist Clients in choosing items for their cart Replenishing stock of food items on the shelves Registering Clients at our food pantries Schedule Clients appointmentsWhat makes a successful volunteer: Able to adhere to safety regulations set in place by the agency Able to use hands to handle food items and lift medium-sized boxes (between 16 – 20 pounds) Ability to stand for hours at a time Age Requirements: 14 is the minimum age. Volunteers 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times & must submit their Minor Volunteer Waiver before the shift. Commitment: Our hungry neighbors are counting on you to arrive on time and to stay for the entire shift.
