Creative outlets bring joy, healing, and hope. Our maternity home, Mater Maria, is seeking volunteers who can share expressive and artistic activities with residents, encouraging them to dream, reflect, and create lasting memories with their children.

Opportunities to Serve:

Arts & Crafts Class 
Facilitate fun, hands-on projects such as baby keepsakes, Scripture-inspired art, sewing, or crocheting.

Vision Board with Faith Focus 
Guide mothers in setting meaningful, hope-filled goals through a vision board activity rooted in healing and purpose.

Ideal Volunteers:

Passionate about creativity and able to make activities approachable for beginners.

Patient, encouraging, and comfortable working with mothers in a small group setting.

Available to lead one-time projects or recurring sessions.

 Mondays and Thursdays available at any time before 12pm or after 1pm.

We are seeking volunteers who are passionate about equipping mothers with practical, hands-on life skills that will set them up for long-term success.

Opportunities to Serve:

Cooking & Nutrition
Guide residents in preparing budget-friendly, healthy meals. Teach grocery planning, pantry cooking, and how to make nutritious choices for themselves and their children.

Home & Time Management 
Help mothers establish simple cleaning routines, develop laundry skills, and organize small living spaces to work well with infants and toddlers.

Apartment Hunting & Tenant Rights 

Support mothers in understanding how to budget for rent, read and understand leases, know their rights and responsibilities as tenants, and learn how to advocate for themselves when seeking housing.

Ideal Volunteers:

Skilled in one of the above areas with the ability to teach in an encouraging, hands-on way.

Patient, empathetic, and respectful of each mother’s journey.

Able to commit to leading a workshop, class series, or one-on-one session (flexible scheduling available).

As a volunteer tutor, you’ll play a vital role in helping young learners build confidence in English, improve academic skills, and adjust to a new educational system. By offering patience, guidance, and encouragement, you can make a lasting impact on a student’s future. Whether it’s through one-on-one tutoring or group learning, your support will help bridge gaps in education and open doors to new opportunities.

With just 2-4 hours per week, you can provide virtual tutoring from the comfort of your home while making a meaningful difference in a student’s life.

What You'll Do Provide academic support in English, reading, and writing. Encourage language development through engaging conversations and activities. Create a supportive learning environment tailored to the student’s needs. Offer mentorship and guidance to build confidence and independence. Collaborate with foster parents and IFC program staff to ensure student progress. Track student achievements and submit monthly progress reports.

The Community Health Clinic (CHC) provides non-urgent, quality healthcare for low-income, uninsured families living in Collin County. Our exceptional volunteer healthcare providers and community volunteers work together alongside clinical staff to serve the uninsured who need a health home the most. The Register Nurse (RN) performs a wide variety of medical and clinical support functions in an outpatient clinical setting. Our volunteer RN’s provide support for our medical providers and are the first point of care for our patients. The RN will work closely with patients from diverse backgrounds and collaborate with the clinic team

What You'll Do Obtain patient vital signs, medical history, chart preparation, medication dosage and frequency, patient’s allergens, and assist with medical examinations. Ensure complete and proper documentation of all patient care in their medical record. Provide instructions and directions to patients regarding diagnostic tests, procedures, and treatments. Provide patient instruction and educational materials as needed What Makes a Successful Volunteer Graduation from an accredited nursing school. Current State of Texas RN or LVN certification. The Community Health Clinic (CHC) provides non-urgent, quality healthcare for low-income, uninsured families living in Collin County. The position will possess a strong foundation in primary care. They will be responsible for managing chronic diseases, for example diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and asthma. The provider will work closely with patients from diverse backgrounds and collaborate with the clinic team. The physician is able to volunteer accordingly to their preferred schedule.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Independently assess and document clinical problems in your area of expertise. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, in accordance with HIPPA regulations and best practice. Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies. Order appropriate medication and treatments and complete refill requests. Educate patients and their families about health issues, preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices. Requirements: Must be currently licensed for the practice of medicine in the State of Texas. Ability to work with diverse populations and age groups. Passion for serving the underserved and uninsured. Ability to work as an effective member of a dedicated team of volunteers and staff. Time Commitment:

The Community Health Clinic (CHC) provides non-urgent, quality healthcare for low-income, uninsured families living in Collin County. Our exceptional volunteer healthcare providers and community volunteers work together alongside clinical staff to serve the uninsured who need a health home the most. The position will greet patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone. They will be responsible for scheduling or rescheduling patients’ appointments. Assist with new patient registration. Office volunteers will keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying medical providers of patients’ arrival and is expected to protect patients’ rights by maintaining the confidentiality of personal/medical information.

What You'll Do: Efficiently coordinate patient check-in and check-out processed utilizing EMR system. Conduct patient verifications and obtain necessary documentation to ensure seamless patient care registration process. Schedule appointments, answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls. Utilize provided scripts and protocols to address patient questions, confirm schedule, and reschedule patient appointments. Adhere to HIPPA regulations to protect patient confidentiality while interpreting all information needed for quality healthcare Excellent customer service and communication skills, Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not necessary What Makes a Successful Volunteer? We are seeking a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner with a strong foundation in primary care to help manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma. In this role, you will work closely with patients from diverse backgrounds and collaborate with the clinic team to provide essential medical care.

Valid and current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license with recognition as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Texas. Valid and current national board certification by AANC or AANP as a Nurse Practitioner. Ability to work with diverse populations and age groups. A passion to help the underserved and uninsured. Ability to work as an effective member of a dedicated team of volunteers and paid staff
