Volunteer: October Food Boxing Event

Imagine not having enough food to plan your next meal. This is the reality for many individuals and
families in our community who face hunger and food insecurity on a daily basis.

Come join us as we build boxes for the clients we serve at Catholic Charities. 

Note that the September food boxing has been rescheduled for this date. 

Duties/Responsibilities:  

Building Boxes Place food items into boxes with information provided by CCD. 

What makes a successful volunteer:  

Able to adhere to safety regulations set in place by the agency    Able to use hands to handle food items and lift medium-sized boxes (between 16 – 20 pounds)   Ability to stand for hours at a time   Helpful & courteous   Dependable & reliable  

Dress code: Closed-toe (front and back) shoes are required(no sandals or flip flops). We recommend dressing in comfortable and casual clothes suitable for the season.  

Age Requirements: 10 is the minimum age. Volunteers 10-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times & must submit their Minor Volunteer Waiver before the shift.  

Commitment: Our hungry neighbors are counting on you to arrive on time and to stay for the entire shift. If you are unable to complete the full shift, then please log into your account and cancel your registration. We hope you can join us another time.  

Parking: This event will be held at Crossroads Community Services located at 4500 S Cockrell Hill Rd, Dallas, TX 75236. Parking will be in the back of the budling, you will see a sign for volunteer parking. Please enter through the back door, a staff will greet you onsite. 

 Submit your song requests when responding! We're love good tunes to listen to while packing boxes! Be sure to make them family friendly songs!
