This client choice pantry gives families the opportunity to walk inside and select the groceries that fit their needs and preferences, just like at a traditional store. Help us reduce hunger in Ennis and the surrounding area by volunteering at our client choice container pantry. This approach gives families more control over their food, helps reduce waste, and ensures everyone leaves with food they’ll actually use and enjoy. Come join us in serving the community! Duties/Responsibilities: Checking in and scheduling clients for appointments Restocking food items on shelves Helping clients shop Bagging produce and other food itemsWhat makes a successful volunteer: Able to adhere to safety regulations set in place by the agency Able to use hands to handle food items and lift medium-sized boxes (between 16 – 20 pounds) Ability to stand for hours at a time Helpful & courteous Dependable & reliableDress code: Closed-toe shoes are required (no sandals or flip flops).
