Help bridge the language gap and provide essential support to our Spanish-speaking clients by volunteering as an interpreter. As a Spanish Interpreter, you will assist our case managers in facilitating communication with clients who speak Spanish, ensuring they receive the services and resources they need. Your role will be vital in fostering understanding, trust, and connection between clients and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Translate verbal communications between case managers and Spanish-speaking clients.
- Assist during meetings, appointments, and intake interviews to ensure accurate information exchange.
- Help explain documents and forms to clients in Spanish.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English (fluent in speaking and understanding).
- Strong communication skills and ability to interpret clearly and accurately.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with diverse communities.
- Previous experience in interpretation is helpful but not required.
