Description

Creative outlets bring joy, healing, and hope. Our maternity home, Mater Maria, is seeking volunteers who can share expressive and artistic activities with residents, encouraging them to dream, reflect, and create lasting memories with their children.

Opportunities to Serve:

  • Arts & Crafts Class 
    Facilitate fun, hands-on projects such as baby keepsakes, Scripture-inspired art, sewing, or crocheting.

  • Vision Board with Faith Focus 
    Guide mothers in setting meaningful, hope-filled goals through a vision board activity rooted in healing and purpose.

Ideal Volunteers:

  • Passionate about creativity and able to make activities approachable for beginners.

  • Patient, encouraging, and comfortable working with mothers in a small group setting.

  • Available to lead one-time projects or recurring sessions.

    •  Mondays and Thursdays available at any time before 12pm or after 1pm.

Your time and creativity will provide residents with a healthy outlet for expression, opportunities to build community, and space to envision a hopeful future for themselves and their children.

2. Sign the abuse awareness training packets

After completing both forms, you’ll need to click “Respond” again to officially sign up.

You will receive an email confirmation. After signing up, you’ll receive an email to complete your online orientation through website Learner Mobile.  

Please note: You will be able to begin volunteering only after all your paperwork is complete, references are on file, and your background check has been processed. Volunteers will need to meet with staff on site to ensure a mutual fit.
