Duties/Responsibilities:
- Screen potential applicants
- filling out I-821 and I-765 applications (Temporary Protected Status and Work Employment Authorization)
- Preparing packets for mailing: Making copies, scanning, and organizing
What makes a successful volunteer:
- Lawyers, Law Students, Legal Professionals preferred
- Ability to revise and verify information
- Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
- Completing training before the event
- Maintaining professionalism and can respect the confidentiality of individuals applying for asylum
- Keeping a positive attitude
Dress code: Business Casual
Age Requirements: This event is for ages 18+.
