The Community Health Clinic (CHC) provides non-urgent, quality healthcare for low-income, uninsured families living in Collin County. Our exceptional volunteer healthcare providers and community volunteers work together alongside clinical staff to serve the uninsured who need a health home the most.
The CHC Clinical Office Assistant will perform a variety of tasks depending on our program needs including:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Create a friendly, comfortable setting in which the patient can feel supported and cared for while waiting to be seen by the clinic’s medical staff.
· Input data information in the computer as needed.
· Answer telephone calls.
· Patient scheduling and intake
· Maintenance of office space
QUALIFICATIONS:
What makes a successful volunteer?
• Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner
• Bilingual preferred
• Must be dependable and punctual
• Be courteous and personable when dealing with the public
• Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented
• Respect and maintain confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPPA guidance
• Computer skills are desired
