Catholic Charities Dallas’ Immigration Legal Services (ILS) department provides trusted legal support to immigrants seeking U.S. citizenship and other immigration benefits. Our team of attorneys, legal staff, and trained volunteers walk alongside clients at every step—from paperwork and workshops to legal consultations.
We are seeking dedicated volunteers to provide administrative and legal support that directly impacts how quickly and effectively we can serve our clients.
Position Purpose & Impact
As an ILS Support Volunteer, you will help:

Keep case files organized and up to date to support timely processing

Ensure clients receive accurate updates and scheduled appointments

Increase the department’s capacity to serve more individuals and families

Directly support clients applying for DACA, I-90 renewals, and citizenship
Duties & Responsibilities

Data entry (primary need)

Mail processing
-
Answering emails and phone calls or returning voicemails, as needed

Uploading and organizing documents within internal systems

Assisting with meeting coordination and setup

Organizing files, documents, and reports

Handling confidential legal documents with accuracy and discretion
Qualifications & Skills

Ability to focus on repetitive tasks for extended periods

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Computer literacy and comfort using office equipment

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Respect for client privacy and confidentiality

Helpful, courteous, and team-oriented attitude
