The evening volunteer shift begins at 4:00pm and ends at 9:30pm. You will be assigned tasks such greeting, assisting guests with finding their seats, working in the ballroom, etc. Tasks/roles will be assigned by the CCD Volunteer Team and communicated in advance along with your training plan for the evening.
All High School Students are expected to wear their high school uniforms, and must come with the waiver pre-signed by their parent or guardian, or they will not be able to volunteer.
All Chaperones are expected to remain responsible for their high school students for the duration of the volunteer evening.
Each volunteer group will be assigned a captain that will provide further training and assistance to the volunteer group regarding their roles.
Required Training: Training and assigned tasks will be provided on-site by your shift captain.
Age Requirements: 8th grade and above
Attire: Student must wear uniforms. Chaperones- Evening attire is black-tie optional, with shoes contingent on your volunteer role for that evening.
Commitment: We remind you that because you have committed to this volunteer time slot, this slot is not available for someone else to use. If you find yourself unable to assist us during the time you have selected, we ask that you cancel your registration in a timely manner, so we have adequate time to find a replacement. Volunteer commitment is an integral part of our ability to serve, and we appreciate volunteers who uphold the standards of commitment we hold ourselves to as an agency.
Parking: Park in the hotel parking lot and we will have it validated.
Proof of Service: Any volunteer (youth or adult) needing to track volunteer hours for work, school, scholarships, etc., can do so through Galaxy Digital. You can also contact volunteer@ccdallas.org if you need a specific letter signed.
Food: Dinner will be provided
Shift Closure: To make sure you are notified properly if this event is cancelled for inclement weather or another reason, please ensure your volunteer hub contact information is up to date as this is how we will be notifying you.
