Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA): Check In Volunteers

As a Check-In Volunteer at our Tax Assistance Site, you will be the first point of contact for clients, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported during their visit. Your primary role is to manage the check-in process efficiently, guiding clients to the services they need. By helping create a smooth and professional experience, you play a key role in reducing the stress often associated with tax preparation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome clients warmly and answer any initial questions they may have.
• Assist clients in signing in and completing necessary forms or documentation.
• Notify case managers or team members when clients arrive.
• Organize and maintain the intake area to ensure a steady and efficient flow.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, organizing, and data entry.
• Respect and uphold confidentiality of all client information.

Age Requirements

• Volunteers must be 18 years or older.
• A copy of a valid ID is required.
