The Community Health Clinic (CHC) provides non-urgent, quality healthcare for low-income, uninsured families living in Collin County. Our exceptional volunteer healthcare providers and community volunteers work together alongside clinical staff to serve the uninsured who need a health home the most. The position will greet patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone. They will be responsible for scheduling or rescheduling patients’ appointments. Assist with new patient registration. Office volunteers will keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying medical providers of patients’ arrival and is expected to protect patients’ rights by maintaining the confidentiality of personal/medical information.
What You'll Do:
- Efficiently coordinate patient check-in and check-out processed utilizing EMR system.
- Conduct patient verifications and obtain necessary documentation to ensure seamless patient care registration process.
- Schedule appointments, answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls.
- Utilize provided scripts and protocols to address patient questions, confirm schedule, and reschedule patient appointments.
- Adhere to HIPPA regulations to protect patient confidentiality while interpreting all information needed for quality healthcare
- Excellent customer service and communication skills,
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not necessary

Time Commitment
The clinic is open Monday-Fridays 8:30am-4:30pm. Some evenings,4:00pm-6:00pm and Saturdays are available.
Commitments accepted as little as one day per month based on your availability. 4, 6, or 8hr. shifts available
